- If you are looking for a building that fits within a $50,000 budget this will work well for turn key tiny houses and our largest storage solutions. It isn’t uncommon to find fully assembled buildings from 10×16 up to 14×30 on our Scratch-n-Dent list. We like to keep at least a couple turn-key buildings and popular designs in stock and ready to ship. Having these designs fully assembled in our display yard allows visitors to get inside and to feel the quality and scale of the buildings themselves. We find it very useful to have these buildings in stock for clients who are trying to narrow in on a design and/or size for their project. For customers who need a post and beam cabin or shed as soon as possible we usually have around one hundred buildings in stock and discounted.
Here are some examples of some recent and past designs we have had for sale on our Scrach-n-Dent list. The 10×16 Pond House Sugar Shack was designed to be a four season turn key tiny house. It has a clever floorplan that packs in a small kitchenette, fold out futon, shower and off-grid toilet. A basic electrical package is included, with running lights, outlets, light switches. The building is heated with an energy efficient heat pump, which also serves air conditioning for the hotter months. The building is completely insulated with fiberglass insulation and a vapor barrier in the floor, walls and roof. Double pane windows and a nine-lite insulated steel door help keep the building comfortable no matter what the season.
A 14×30 Gibraltar, built on a heavy duty steel frame was also included on this list. This uninsulated shell includes a thirty foot wide porch, with barrel arch detail over the door. Skinned hemlock posts enhance the rustic features on this cabin.
Sometimes we have pre-cut kits included in this list, like the 16×24 Vermont Cottage Option B four season kit. This pre-cut kit included everything needed to build a fully assembled cottage. This design maximizes the interior square footage since it does not include a built in porch as part of the floor plan. A storage or sleeping loft with a ladder is included in this design for additional interior space.
