The moment you realize that you have so many tools, you need a special place to put them— is a magical moment in anyones life and worth celebrating. What better way to celebrate than to use your tools to build a tool shed? One of our complete pre-cut kits is just the thing. Tool shed designs come in a wide variety of styles and sizes. To start narrowing down the selection, think of what exactly you want to store in it. Garden Tools, maybe a wheel barrow, perhaps a generator and hoses as well. Do you want a work bench built in? Do you have, or are you wanting a large tool box or chest? Think about how large each of these item is. If you can, measure them or gather them all in one space. Leave yourself enough room to move around and work and you’ll get a good idea of how much space you need. When selecting the design, think about what kind of roof you want. Tool Sheds with Gable Roofs are very popular. If you have enough head room, loft-like storage shelves can help utilize the height of your tool shed. Sheds with windows are possible as well. In addition to size, think about the contents of your shed in regard to door size. If you plan on parking tractor, riding lawn mower, a wheel barrow, or a 4-wheeler in your tool shed, consider door size and floor weight capacity. Depending on your situation, make sure the doors are going to be large enough. If you want to store something very heavy you may want to opt for a concrete foundation instead of a floor system. This is an option on almost all designs. Many designs come with windows already, but with a little carpentry know-how you’re a few steps ahead and can make additional customizations.
