Typically our selection of Scratch-n-Dent buildings that are 320 square feet or larger is a small list. This is because most of these designs are only available as pre-cut kits, or are subject to extra wide load permits for over the road travel. On some occasions a client might cancel a kit order so we will add it to this section of the catalog and pass on the savings to you. If you are able to visit our South Londonderry, Vermont factory you will find quite a few display models of these larger designs that are here for viewing. These designs include the Vermont Cabin, Vermont Cottages Option A, B and C, the Simple Garage, One Bay Garage, Homesteader and Hobby House. These are always available for viewing during daylight hours. If you are unable to make it to our factory we have an extensive youtube channel with walk through videos of nearly every design in our catalog.
Here is an overview of some of the recent buildings that fit this size category and were listed on our Scratch-n-Dent price list. The 14×30 Barn is a large storage space or livestock shelter. It is constructed of our usual hemlock frame, with pine board and batten siding, a corrugated metal roof, and a set of double barn doors with ramp. 14×30 Barn Garages are similar in structure but include an overhead garage door in lieu of the double doors. A solid pine single side door is also included. A 14×30 Gibraltar built on a steel trailer can be moved from site to site (with the proper permits). This unique design is eye catching with it’s 30 foot wide porch with barrel arch detail over the door. The 14×26 Solar Cabin includes a six-foot deep screened in porch, living area, bedroom and bathroom and is set up with off-grid comforts such as a solar package, composting toilet, and woodstove. The 16×24 Vermont Cottage Option B four season kit is one of the roomiest of the Vermont Cottage series. The design omits a porch to maximize the usable interior space and includes a loft.
